Dolly Waggon Guest House, Bed & Breakfast, Keswick.
Dolly Waggon, named after one of the fells in the Helvellyn range, offers quality, family-run, bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick, the Heart of the Lake District. We aim to ensure that all our visitors have an enjoyable and memorable stay with us.
Our guest house is located in a quiet residential street with views of the surrounding fells from all guest bedrooms. We are only a few minutes walk from the busy town centre, Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake.
As a very popular tourist town, Keswick possibly has as many places to eat and drink as it has to visit and shop. Walk out the door of Dolly Waggon and in just a few streets you have reached the bustling town centre but, if it’s peace and quiet you yearn for then take the car a short distance in almost any direction and this you will find. No car? No problem! There is a good bus service from Keswick to all the most popular places, including an open-top bus either through Borrowdale (simply amazing) or south to Grasmere (just beautiful).
Whether you choose to walk, cycle, drive or use public transport you are never far from something interesting when you stay in Keswick.
Breakfast at Dolly Waggon
Guest houses are often referred to as Bed & Breakfast for a reason so we think it naturally follows that after a good nights sleep, in preparation for a busy day in the Lake District, you should start your day with one of our wonderful breakfasts.
Where possible we use local, organic and fair trade products and, if you need us to, can cater for individual dietary needs.
We have all the usual culptris so you can begin with juice, cereal, fresh fruit, summer fruits, grapefruit segments and yoghurt and follow on with our generous full English breakfast or, if you prefer, sliced cheese and cooked meats with fresh home baked bread.
Vegetarian breakfasts and lighter alternatives are also available, such as scrambled or poached eggs on a toasted muffin or boiled eggs and toast soldiers.
Of course whatever your choice there’s always home baked bread, toasted just how you like it, and locally made preserves to round off a breakfast that will prepare you for the day ahead.
